What support is available to the families of the victims of aviation disasters?

The Aviation Disaster Family Assistance Act of 1996 also sets forth the responsibilities of various entities to provide support for the families of disaster victims. This support includes counseling, memorial services and a variety of other victim support services. Various support groups, including disaster-specific groups, are available online. The NTSB also provides information for friends and family of victims of airline accidents.
