Are lawsuits heard before a jury? |
 |
Not necessarily. It depends on the nature of the case, the facts and what the parties request. Jury cases are not allowed in some states in certain cases (e.g., probate, divorce).
Many cases that do go to trial are heard before a judge alone who decides based on the witness testimony and supporting evidence. |
