Then what?
Never throw away or ignore the Summons.

IMMEDIATELY contact an attorney and/or your liability insurance company and report the suit. Express your concern.

Report exactly when and how you received the Summons, since improper delivery can be a "showstopper".

You also must formally respond to the Summons within a specified period of time. If not, you can lose the case by "default" and be forced to pay the party suing you without ever appearing before the court.
