What can I do when an insurance company refuses to pay a claim?
How does homeowner's insurance pay for property damage to my home in the event of a fire, theft, or other disaster?
What am I required to do when I have a claim?
I hired an attorney to represent me against two auto insurance companies. Later I found out that his firm also has represented these same two companies. Wasn't the attorney legally and morally obligated to tell me this? I would not have hired him if I had known.
I injured someone in a car accident. The insurance company refused to settle within my policy limits and the jury awarded damages in excess of my policy limits. Must I pay the excess?
