Cellular is a method of mobile communications using "cells", which are small service areas that are linked together. Most cellular phones today operate using analog methods.
PCS is short for personal communications services, which are primarily mobile phones that operate digitally. These PCS units can provide any number of services and features including paging, answering services, and text messaging. New versions of these services are even permitting users to send and receive text e-mail.
