Who can I bring to the mediation?
In addition to a lawyer, you can bring anyone who will be useful to you in deciding whether the terms of a settlement are acceptable. If you are going to want to talk to your spouse before deciding whether to agree to a settlement, bring your spouse.

If you don’t have any authority to settle for your company, bring someone who does. If a mediator determines that one side has brought no one with actual authority to effectively recommend a settlement, the mediator may terminate the mediation because it cannot be effective.
