The Court supervises the estate's administration, probates wills, oversees numerous kinds of testamentary and living trusts and so forth. In many states, it also deals with adoptions, name changes, conservatorships, guardianship of minors, termination of parental rights, partition of property, marriage licenses. It may also be referred to as Surrogate Court.
